Windows XP monitors the files that are used when the computer starts and when you launch applications. By monitoring these files, Windows XP can prefetch. The prefetching data is the process by which data should be requested is read ahead in the cache. Prefetching boot files and applications reduces the time needed to boot Windows XP and start applications.

Sign in to your Yahoo! Messenger
Go to menu Messenger - Preferences [or press Ctrl+Shift+P]
In the category choose Archive and set to "Yes, save all of my messages" - OK
You can view your stored message later by clicking at View Archive button. Otherwise press F3 while you open Instant Messages box.
I used this function: Select B1, type the formula below =IF(VALUE(RIGHT(A1,2))>=50,CEILING(A1,100), FLOOR(A1, 100))
PS: I was using MS Excel 2007, may there are little differences with another version. You may change the number of significance (100) to 10, 50, 25 etc.
For doing manual/offline update, first you must have the update files. You can download it from any server over internet. Here are steps I'm used to do:
Start Google and search for phrase 'nod_upd' or click here
Select one from the search result with 'Index of /nod_upd' on the title. Pay attention to the url or you may be back to this page.
Download anything from the directory with extension *.nup and *.ver. You can use Free Download Manager to download multiple files.
Save the downloaded files to usb flashdisk or cd.
Until now, you already have the update files then save them to the computer you want to update.
Make a folder named 'nod_upd' (without apostrophes) in one of your harddrive.
Copy all updates file you downloaded before to the folder.
Select server location from Setup of Automatic Update box in NOD32 Control center. Point to where are your update files located.
Try to run update by clicking Update now.
For NOD32 Antivirus version 3 (pictures below), there are little differences to configure manual/offline update.
Make a folder named 'nod_upd' in one of your hard drive.
Copy all updates file you downloaded before to the folder.
Open NOD32 Antivirus main program and press F5 to open Setup.
Go to Update below Antivirus and Antispyware section.
On Update server click Edit…
Define the ‘nod_upd’ folder address in your hard drive (For example: D:\nod_upd), click Add and OK. Click OK again.
Run update from Update section by clicking Run virus signature database.
Before running automatic update, you have to decide which server you want to update from.
Open control center, point to update - update.
Click setup on the pop-up window beside control center.
On the location section, select server name you want to use for update.
Click Ok and Run update.
Besides that, you may also add your own server by:
Click Servers… on Setup of Automatic Update box.
Click Add…, enter the server address then Ok.
Select your server in the server location then Ok.
Try to run update by clicking Update now.
Note: You can find NOD32 server location address, try googling by keyword "nod_upd" or you can click here. Read other post about how to manually update NOD32 antivirus. To check whether the server you choose is free or not, you'll prompted to input user ID and password every time updating from a not free server.
