Start Menu in a Window

PStart is a simple tray tool to start user defined applications. Designed to run portable applications (like portable Firefox & Thunderbird), you can start anything runnable from USB key devices or removable disks.

In other words, PStart is an utility that collect your applications and displays them in a small window on the desktop. So, the function of PStart is to subtitute Windows Start menu. More than that, you can group the applications into categories; office programs, utilities, network, internet, media player, etc. You can install PStart to hard drive and be also possible to install it on a USB flash drive and other removable media even burn it into CD.

Windows shortcuts, PStart uses relative paths, when installed as a portable application. If your USB key drive gets another drive letter when you insert it into another computer, your portable applications still can be started properly.

There's also a feature on PStart lets you make an autorun file so when you install on USB disk, for example, PStart will run automatically as you attach the USB disk to a computer.
